Internationally successful German womenswear brand Marc Cain was founded in 1973 by Helmut Schlotterer who to this day is the chairman of the management board. Marc Cain stands for contemporary fashion pieces accompanying the everyday of modern women. Casual, wearable and multi-tasking looks define the Marc Cain aesthetic. The company produces five different lines, including sportswear, the Essentials and Additions collections as well as bags and shoes. Since 2020, Katja Foos helms the position of Design Director at the brand. “One of the most important goals and challenges is making the digital more emotional. To me this means using the benefits of technology, while evoking emotions by breaking up stiff structures and combining 2D and 3D components. This style mix offers new perspectives and we create eye-catchers”, she says. To her, fashion has to have a lightness and optimism, which the Marc Cain brand translates into colourful pieces and cool prints.
