Leading global model management network Elite World hosted the 36th Elite Model Look World Final in Paris, marking a return to the French capital after 30 years.
For the first time, Digital Creators participated in the Elite Model World Final in a new category, to find the next generation of digital and cultural storytellers.
The winner of the inaugural EML Digital Creator challenge were Laetitia Ky from Ivory Coast and Lindsey Wheeler from USA who will receive a worldwide contract with EWG – Culture a new division of Elite World Group.
Paris, November 18th 2019 – Elite World, the world’s leading model management company is delighted to reveal the winners of the 36th edition of Elite Model Look: from the 49 finalists, who come together from all over the world, Yireh Carrasco from Dominican Republic (16 years old – 177cm height) and Andrej Chamula (19 years old – 190 cm height) were proclaimed overall winners.
- Yireh is from Dominican Republic, likes to listen to music and she loves to dance.
- Andrej is passionate about of films and his favourite music artist is Kanye West.
The 36th edition of Elite Model Look was held in Paris from the 15th to the 18th of November 2019, marking the return of the World Final to Paris after 30 years, the last being held in 1989 when Ines Sastre won. For this edition, 49 contestants (29 females and 20 males) participated in the World Final, hailing from 30 different countries (including Antilles Guyane, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, Portugal, Reunion Island, Russia, Rwanda, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, USA).
They were judged across several categories including model ability, catwalk, presentation, and personality by a panel of fashion specialists composed of: Julia Haart, Elite World Group Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner, Vick Mihaci, President Elite Management Worldwide, Chris Gay, Elite World Group Co-Ceo and President of The Society Management, Piero Piazzi, President of Women Milan, Nathalie CrosCoitton, CEO Women Management Paris, Piergiorgio Del Moro, DM Fashion Studio Casting Director, Samuel Ellis Scheinman, Dm Fashion Studio Casting Director.
The role of the jury is to discover the rich differences each and every one of the contestants can bring to the mix. The model’s individuality is key and one of the main qualities that will highlight their potential to become a top model. Other criteria include their personality, attitude, style, charisma and movement on the catwalk and in front of the camera.
15 finalists were selected to enter into the penultimate stages of the Elite Model Look contest, with judges ultimately proclaiming one female and one male overall winners. The Top 15 Winners, 10 females and 5 males, will receive a two-year contract with the Elite worldwide network. The overall winners, Yireh and Andrej will receive contracts worth 150.000 euros and 50.000 Euros respectively. For the other Top Winners, the contracts are guaranteed at 50.000 Euros minimum for the females and 20.000 Euros minimum for the males.

THE 1ST ELITE MODEL LOOK WORLD DIGITAL CREATOR CONTEST
For the first time in Elite Model Look history, 7 Digital and Cultural storytellers (5 females and 2 males) took part in the Elite Model Look Final. The artists showcased their talents and digital craftsmanship in a bootcamp and in a video creation challenge hosted and judged by TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile video, represented byCosetteRinab, TikTok Creator and Cece Vu, TikTok, Media Partnership & Strategy as well as Julia Haart, Elite World Group Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner, Chris Gay, Elite World Group Co-Ceo and President of The Society Management, Piero Piazzi, President of Women Milan, Corey Martin, President of Elite World Group Digital and Miss Fame, iconic make-up artist and celebrity model.
The two winners of this inaugural contest were:
Laetitia Ky, 23 years old, from Ivory Coast – the top winner will receive a two-year contract with EWG- Culture worth 50,000 Euros over two years
Laetitia is a young Ivorian artist and activist born in 1996 in Abidjan. She attended an ordinary schooling in the same city where she grew up and obtained a literature high school degree at the age of 16 in 2012. After her degree she was accepted at the National Polytechnic Institute Felix HouphouetBoigny for business management studies in a 3-year cycle. After her third year and her internship, she realizes that the corporate life with its codes and its monotony is not the one that suits her. In 2015, she decided not to continue on this path, and instead to focus on her passions, Art and fashion and cinema. Having a natural ease in the practice of the hairstyle and the manual arts, she starts share in 2017 her hair creations, and socials point of view on the social networks and her notoriety grows progressively.
Lindsey Wheeler 22, from USA – the runner-up – will receive a two-year contract with EWG – Culture , worth 25,000 Euros.
Lindsey is a 22 years old social media influencer from the United States. She makes Tiktok videos and Instagram photos about comedy, social commentary, and lifestyle. She has been interested in comedy and lifestyle since a young child and wants to share positivity, love and inspiration to those around her.
Elite Model Look has also decided to award an honorable mention for Social Consciousness to Allison Bouganim, 21 years old from USA.
Allison is an artist, activist, and side hustler. When she was 15, she launched an internationally recognized jewelry business. At 16, she created Wax That Ass, an interactive sculpture series that combats and comments on sexual harassment. At 17, she founded a non-profit organization that served homeless women and children, with the use of art and creative expression. At 18, she became a full-time designer, while still maintaining and developing more side hustles. Passionate about art and design, entrepreneurialism, and dismantling the status quo.
